stock11.de, a collaborative network of composers and interpreters of contemporary music, was founded in 2002. The members found common ground in a desire to understand each other´s work and in an open disposition toward one another´s aesthetic attitudes. Thus stock11.de quite consciously decided not to formu- late a comprehensive aesthetic manifesto; the intention was no more to create a »school of thought« than to establish a unified notion of style. With the type of networking that stock11.de practices, artistic commonalities and interests are instead bundled together, without sacrificing the aesthetic autonomy of the individual. In addition, the interaction of composer and performer is not simply reduced to the typical sequence of production-delivery-execution. The pieces collected on this disc emerged from close collaboration with the respective interpreters - the pianist Sebastian Berweck, the countertenor Daniel Gloger, and the violist Jessica Rona. Instead of a collection of isolated processes, stock11.de seeks continuous dialogue - a form of communication that reaches beyond the work on separate projects, keeps compositional and interpretive approaches flexible, and ensures a mutual broadening of horizons.

stock11.de, 2002 ins Leben gerufen, ist ein Netzwerk, ein Zusammenschluss von Komponisten und Interpreten aktueller Musik. Gemeinsame Basis der Mitglieder ist die Lust am Verstehen der Kunst des anderen und die Aufgeschlossenheit gegenüber individuellen Positionen. Dementsprechend hat sich stock11.de ganz bewusst dagegen entschieden, eine übergreifende Ästhetik zu formulieren; es soll weder eine »Schule« gebildet noch ein weiterer Stilbegriff etabliert werden. Mit der Vernetzung, die stock11.de betreibt, werden künstlerische Gemeinsamkeiten und Interessen gebündelt, ohne die ästhetische Autonomie des Einzelnen zur Disposition zu stellen. Darüber hinaus wird die Interaktion zwischen Komponisten und Interpreten nicht auf die bloße Abfolge Produktion-Übergabe-Umsetzung reduziert. Die Stücke, die auf dieser CD versammelt sind, entstanden in enger Zusammenarbeit mit ihren Interpreten - dem Pianisten Sebastian Berweck, dem Countertenor Daniel Gloger und der Bratschistin Jessica Rona. An die Stelle jeweils isolierter Prozesse setzt stock11.de die Idee eines kontinuierlichen Dialogs - eines Austauschs, der über die Arbeit an einzelnen Projekten hinausreicht, der kompositorische wie interpretatorische Zugänge beweglich hält und die Erfahrungshorizonte wechselseitig erweitert.
